The Micro Data Infrastructure (MDI) project
An European, cross-country, census-style, firm-level data acess tool designed for research and policy.
The infrastructure assembles confidential firm-level data access across countries in a harmonised way, making it possible to answer a myriad of research questions using comparable micro data at a European scale, provided by each country's statistical offices.
The tool is documented in the MDI manual, and is being built by a team of economists and data scientists, with funding from the EU.
